Fungi intaglio print
'Fungi' is an original intaglio print (etching), printed onto 300gsm Snowdon paper.
An intaglio print is where a design is etched or engraved into a plate, which in this case was a recycled Tetrapak carton. The plate is inked up and then cleaned, leaving only the ink in the grooves created by the etching. The paper is forced into the grooves by the pressure of the printing press, and so picks up the ink in those grooves, resulting in the finished print.
A limited edition of just 10, signed and numbered by me as the artist.
